Dr. Candida Fratazzi has worked in biomedical research for over 25 years. Prior to her full commitment to Boston Biotech Clinical Research, LLC, she served as Vice President of Clinical Research at MediVector, Inc. Dr. Fratazzi has also held management positions at Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals, Altus Pharmaceuticals Inc., Shire HGT, and Vitex Inc. and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. During her carrier, Dr. Fratazzi developed clinical strategies and plan developments for many drug candidates, presented in INDs and end-of-phase2 briefing documents. Furthermore, Dr. Fratazzi devoted a special attention to drug safety and risk management recognizing its critical value in the contest of clinical development. Her work resulted in the market approval of Tigecycline® IV (Wyeth), Velaglucerase alpha® (Shire), Replagal® in Canada, and submission of Lipoprotamase (Alnara).

Before joining the biopharmaceutical industry, Dr. Fratazzi served on the medical school faculties of the Harvard University, John Hopkins University and Imperial College (London, UK), Schools of Medicine. During her academic years, Dr. Fratazzi devoted her time to basic research and studied both in vitro and in vivo models and co-author in excess of 50 scientific papers in peer review journals. Peer-reviewer of Dove Medical Press: Biologics: Target & Therapy, Biosimilars, Drug Design, Development and Therapy, Clinical Interventions in Aging.

The combined experiences of clinical research (industry experience) and basic research (academic years) armed Dr. Fratazzi with a broad and deep knowledge in clinical drug development strategies and innovative study design planning. She is boarded certified in internal medicine, allergy, immunology and inflammation. She is also the chairman of the board of directors of Women in Bio in Boston and also serves as the Chief Medical Officer for PCUT Bio.
